That Rooster Crow

Sea Lion Woman / Sea Lion
She drank coffee / Sea Lion
She drank tea / Sea Lion
And he gamble lie / Sea Lion

Way down yonder / Sea Lion
I'm going maul / Sea Lion
And the rooster crow / Sea Lion
And he gamble lie / Sea Lion

A song that has gone by many names over the years, "Sea Lion Woman",
was originally recorded in 1939 by Herbert Halpert and sung by two sisters,
Christine and Katherine Shipp.
This American Folk song was originally used as a children's playground song
and was later covered by such artists as folklorist John Lomax, pop singer Nina Simone,
and, more recently, Miss Leslie Feist.
